Wagner, Arthur A. -From the Zanesville Times Recorder 30 January 1931 (Friday) - Wagner Funeral Will Be Saturday Native of Boston Succumbs At Home Here Funeral services for Arthur A. Wagner, who died Thursday morning at his home, 1395 Eastman Street, after a brief illness, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Trimmer Funeral Home, Market Street. Rev. A. Stokes Watson, Pastor of Market Street Baptist church will be in charge. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery. The deceased represented The Berry Company for many years as a salesman. He came here from Boston, Mass, in 1922 to make his home. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks at Chelsea, near Boston. Surviving are his widow, at home, two sisters Mrs. Arthur Freeman and Miss Elsie Wagner of Boston and two brothers Rudolph and Herbert, also of Boston.- Submitted by:Kelly ImKellybar@aol.com

Wagner, Bertha Factor - From the Zanesville Signal November 29 1950 (Wednesday) - Mrs. Bertha Wagner, 85, of 105 1/2 Main Street died Tuesday evening at the home of her niece, Mrs. Harold Heim of 312 Hamline Avenue. She has been ill of a heart ailment Mrs. Wagner was a native of Coshocton. She was the daughter of George and Anna Factor. Surviving are two grandchildren, Donald Waltman of Pershing road and Ralph Waltman of South Street, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Arthur, preceded her in death. Wagner, Agnes Burns - From The Coshocton Tribune 22 February 1954 (Monday) - Mrs. John Wagner Mrs. John Wagner, 68, of 536 Cemetery Dr., died at 6 am. Today at her home of a heart attack Agnes Burns was born May 2, 1896 at Steubenville, a daughter of Peter and Ann V. Raney Burns. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Surviving besides her husband are four sisters, Mrs. Florence Cramblett, Route 4, Mrs. Mary Mushrush of Steubenville, Mrs. Alice McGuire and Mrs. Katherine Adams, both of Canton. Five sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 Am., at Sacred Heart Church. Msgr. Joseph E. McGlynn, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, will conduct the services and burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery. Rosary services will be held Wednesday at 8:15 Pm., at Gibson and Bontrager Funeral home. Wagner, Francis Joseph - From The Coshocton Daily Age 27, August 1906 (Monday) - F. J. Wagoner Dies in Franklin - Francis J. Wagner one of the oldest and best known residents of Franklin Township passed away at his home Saturday evening. Death was caused by old age, he having passed the sixty-ninth milestone. He is survived by a widow and five children as follows; Mrs. Warner Seward, of Coshocton; Rosa Wagoner, Jesse Wagoner of Dresden; John Wagoner of Coshocton; and Frank. Funeral services will be held at the Wills Creek Catholic church at nine o' clock Tuesday morning after which internment will be made at that place. Rev. Fr. Sienna, of Coshocton and Fr. Wagner, Isabelle Gosser - From The Times Recorder Zanesville Ohio 4 October 1944 (Wednesday) - Dresden Resident Is Summoned Mrs. Isabelle Gosser Wagner, 66, of Main Street Dresden, died at about 10 o’clock Tuesday night at her home. Mrs. Wagner was born May 7 1878 at Wills Creek Coshocton County, the daughter of Peter and Mary Crater Gosser. On January 5, 1898 she was married to Jess Wagner at Coshocton and they lived in the Dresden vicinity for 46 years. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church at Dresden and the Altar society Surviving in addition to the husband, are four sons, Everett Wagner of Bridgeville, Joseph of Zanesville, Tech Sgt. Edward serving with the army in New Guinea and Electricians Mate Second Class, William Wagner, with the navy in Hawaii, four daughters Mrs. Grant King of South Charleston, O., Mrs. Myrl Untied of Dresden, and Mrs. Francis Matchett and Mrs. Charles Malvin, both in Zanesville. A sister, Mrs. Lena Settles of Cleveland, two brothers, Edward Gosser of Akron and Henry Gosser of Dresden -- grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four great grandchildren are deceased. The body was removed to the Schaumleffel Ransom funeral home in Dresden, where arrangements are incomplete From The Times Recorder -Zanesville Ohio - 5 October 1944 - Mrs. Wagner Rites - Funeral services for Mrs. Isabelle Gosser Wagner, 66, of Main Street, Dresden, who died Tuesday night at her home, will be held Friday morning from St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dresden. Wagner, Iva Jean - From The Times Recorder Zanesville Ohio 9 November 1940 (Saturday) - Iva Wagner Rites Today - Iva Jean Wagner, six-day-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wagner of 808 Franklin Street, Zanesville, died in Bethesda hospital Friday morning. Surviving beside the parents are one brother, Ronald Eugene Wagner; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Matchett of Adamsville Rt. 1, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Wagner, of Dresden. Private funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the grave in Bethesda cemetery near Adamsville, Rev. Roger Ortmayer, pastor of the Bethesda Methodist church, will officiate. Wagner, Jesse - From The Zanesville Signal 27 February 1951 ( Tuesday)- Jesse Wagner, 75, Dies in Hospital Jesse Wagner, 75, of Frazeysburg, Route 1, died at 3:40 o’clock this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital leaving 58 descendents. He had been in ill health for the past year and four weeks ago fell on the ice at his home and fractured his right leg. Complications resulted and death followed. He was a retired freight handler for the Pennsylvania Railroad at Trinway and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Dresden. Mr. Wagner was born April 8, 1875, at Wills Creek in Coshocton County, and was the son of Stephen and Mary Wagner. His wife, Isabelle, died six years ago. Surviving are four sons, Everett of Frazeysburg Route 1, Joseph of near Chandlersville, Edward of Cleveland, and William Wagner of the Chandlersville road; four daughters Mrs. Mary King of South Charleston, O., Mrs. Isabelle Untied, with whom he made his home, Mrs. Helen Matchett of Seventh Street and Mrs. Bertha Malvin of Adair Avenue; 33 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a brother, John Wagner of Coshocton and two sisters Miss Rosa Wagner and Mrs. Bertha Seward, both of Coshocton. Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Friday morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Raymond F. Totten officiating. Burial will be in the Dresden cemetery. Wagner, John W. - From the Coshocton Tribune 18 March 1958 (Tuesday) - John W. Wagner, 82, of 536 Cemetery Dr., died at the Bonnie Mere Nursing Home at 2:05 Am. Sunday following one year’s illness Born in Coshocton County, April 8, 1875, he was a son of Joseph and Rosetta Kraumanaker Wagner. Mr. Wagner was a retired employee of James B. Clow & Sons. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church One sister, Mrs. Bertha Seward of 381 Ninth St., survives. His wife, Agnes Burns Wagner, died in 1954. One son, three brothers and four sisters also are deceased. Funeral services in Sacred Heart Church will be conducted at 9 Am. Wednesday by Msgr. Joseph E. McGlynn. Burial will be in Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gibson and Bontrager Funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Pm. Tuesday. Wagner, Mary Jane - From The Times Recorder Zanesville Ohio 1 June 1948 ( Tuesday)- Rites Today For Mary J. Cognion Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Cognion, 86, will he conducted from the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Coshocton Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock with Father Kerrigan officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Lourdes cemetery at Coshocton. Mrs. Cognion, widow of Steven Cognion died at her home in Coshocton Saturday following an illness of two months. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage just before her death The deceased was born in Linton township, Coshocton county, March 18 1862, the daughter of Francis Joseph and Rosetta Kromenaker Wagner, On August 8, 1882, she was united in marriage to Severn Cognion who died May 25 1910. She was a member of the Sacred Heart church. Surviving are two sons, Francis S. Cognion of Coshocton Rt. 4, and William R. Cognion of Coshocton; six grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rose E. Wagner, Rosa - From The Coshocton Tribune 27 December 1951(Thursday) -Miss Rosa Wagner, 85, Dies at Home after Three Months’ Illness Miss Rosa E. Wagner, 85, native of this county, died at 7:30 am. Today at her home, 360 South Tenth St., following a three month illness. She was born Oct. 2, 1866, in Franklin Township, a daughter of Joseph and Rosetta Kraumanaker Wagner. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Ladies Sodality of that church. The survivors are one sister, Mrs. Bertha A. Seward, Coshocton, and one brother, John Wagner, Coshocton. Three sisters and three brothers are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 9 Am. Monday at Sacred Heart church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. John W. Kerrigan officiating. WALKER, H. Clayton - 77, a retired oil field worker, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at his home on New Concord Route 1 after suffering a heart attack. Born in Coshocton county Nov. 17, 1884, he was a son of Charles and Ellen Marlatt Welker. Most of his life was spent in Monroe township, Muskingum county. Surviving are his wife, the former Carrie Rhine, to whom he was married May 12, 1910; two sons, Carl E. and Robert R., New Concord Route 1; four grandchildren; three brothers, David W. and Charles A. of New Concord Route 1 and Richard Welker of Coshocton; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Campbell of Barberton, Mrs. Alice Barrett and Mrs. Lemiga Bradford of Zanesville. One sister and one brother are deceased. Services in the Shirer and Son funeral home at Adamsville will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Earl Lightle and Rev. David Howard will officiate. Burial will be in the Otsego Methodist cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday. (Obituary dated December 4, 1961)

Walker, Mrs. Eleanor - May 28, 1875 : Coshocton Age - Mrs. Eleanor Walker, mother of Mr. William Walker, County Auditor, died in her 76th year, at her home in Chili, this County, on the 18th inst. Deceased was born in Ireland, But came to this country when quite a young lady, location in Jefferson County, this State. In January, 1834, in ompany with her husband she came to Coshocton County, where she has resided ever since. She leaves a family of two sons and two aughters, her husband having died some years ago. The funeral services took place on Wednesday last, being very largely attended, as she was almost universally esteemed in the neighborhood where she has resided the greater part of her life. Mrs. Walker's eath created a vacancy in the community not easily filled- for she was one of the most zealous of Christian women - and a model of others - idolized by her children. Walker, W. W. Esq. - December 9, 1875: Coshocton Age - W. W. Walker, Esq. - Last Thursday night, W. W. Walker, Esq., one of our prominent merchants, died very suddenly. He had been suffering for several days from an abscess in the side, and on that morning he was feeling much better, but toward evening he became worse and in a few hours breathed his last. The deceased was an examplary citizen, a kind and generous husband and father, and his loss will be severely felt in this community. His remains were taken to Dresden for interment. Weeks, James T. - The Coshocton Age Friday Feb 21, 1868 - Died on the 1st inst, at his residence in Spring Valley, James T. Weeks, aged 62 years. He was the oldest son of the late Dr. Robert Weeks of Putnam County, New York, and an efficient member of the Somerville Baptist Church. WILLIAMS, Margaret - Coshocton County Democrat March 6, 1860 Tuesday- We are pained to have to have to record the death of Mrs. Margaret WILLIAMS consort of Wm. G. WILLIAMS at the residence of her son in Clay County, Illinois on Sunday morning the 25th of February at the age of 58 years. Her remains were conveyed to this place and interned in the cemetery. She was a pious and exemplary lady, highly esteemed in this community, and leaves a large family and numerous relatives and friends. WILLIAMS, Margaret - The Progressive Age March 7, 1860 Wednesday - We are pained to record the death on the 26th of Mrs. Margaret WILLIAMS, widow of late Wm. G. WILLIAMS. Mrs. Williams at the time of her death was in Illinois paying a visit to some of her children residing there and intended in a few days to have returned home, but the great ruler of human events ordered differently, and after three or four days illness, terminated her earthly existence. Her remains were brought to this place of interment on Thursday of last week, and were followed to the grave by a large number of relatives and friends ? Wimmer, Alice -From the Times Recorder, Zanesville Ohio May 2, 1959 (Saturday) - Funeral Today For Aunt of Local Resident Funeral Services for Miss Alice Wimmer, 81, of Coshocton Aunt of Mrs. Don Drake of this city, will be conducted at 9 am. today at the Sacred Heart church there with Msgr Joseph E McGlynn officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. Miss Wimmer died Wednesday, following an illness of four months She was born August 29 1877 in Coshocton, a daughter of Michael and Adelaide Guinther Wimmer. Miss Wimmer attended Coshocton schools and after training at Good Samaritan Hospital at Zanesville, and Coshocton City Hospital School of nursing, was employed as a nurse for 50 years in Coshocton. She was a member of Sacred Heart church, the altar and rosary society of the church and the Coshocton County Nurses assn. Wimmer, Frank - From The Coshocton Tribune 8 August 1945 (Wednesday) - Frank Wimmer, Native of County, Dies in New Jersey Frank Wimmer, 64, native of Franklin Township, Coshocton County died at 2:45 am. today at his home in Plainfield, N. J., he had been ill for six months. He was born May 2, 1881 in Franklin Township, The son of Michael and Adeline Wimmer. His wife, the former Benita Griffith of Colorado survives. When in Coshocton, Mr. Wimmer was employed by the Postal Telegraph Co. He moved to the east 30 years ago and had been employed by the American Brake Shoe Co., New York. Mr. Wimmer was a member of the Catholic Church. Other survivors are three children, Robert Wimmer of the U. S. Army, Who returned from Hawaii last Saturday, Mrs. Martha Lee, of Plainfield N. J., and Mrs. Adelaide Vogelsang, of London, Ontario, two sisters; Miss Alice Wimmer, 435 South 14th st. and Miss Nora Wimmer, 917 Walnut st. WOLF, Mrs. - Progressive Age June 22, 1859, Wednesday - Mrs. WOLF, wife of George WOLF of Keene township of this county died on Monday last of consumption.
