John Morgan died at his residence, a few miles east of Coshocton, September 14, 1866, in the seventy-ninth year of his age. He was born in New Jersey, October 9, 1789. He was among the earlier settlers of Coshocton county, cultivating a farm until old age and illness interfered. he was for twenty-five years a member of the White Eyes Baptist church.
